My final was a lot of fun to make because I felt like a 5 year old hitting their head on the tablet over and over again to make sounds that only made sense to me. I wanted to do something I was sort of familiar with like GarageBand. With the lack of volunteers for my drag show I had to work with what I know I had and that was this funny little music app I have on my tablet that I’ve only ever used for a computer programming camp when I was 9. So I looked back at what made it fun for 9 year old me which was literally just making noise on my iPad and embraced it. It sounds absolutely terrible but 9 year old me made it so as long as she was having fun then I didn’t care. Technically it’s music according to McLuhan because everything we hear is music in its own way.

 Good morning, my name is Brooklynn, and for as long as I can remember, I’ve loved all forms of art and the things you can do with them. ​ I’ve never been good at explaining things or expressing myself; I’m either too blunt or not clear enough with people, and it makes it difficult for people to understand what I want them to see.   Brooklynn Bates | Flickr I finally found photos that I think go together and mean something to me. These are bright and flashy moments I captured on camera that make me feel something that I don't feel a lot on a day-to-day basis, especially here in Appleton. In these photos, I'm with my friends, or I'm surrounded by colors underneath the night sky, or my eardrums are bleeding from how loud it is there. Of course, I love nature too. I love the sound of water splashing against things, I love how bright flowers look, and I love being surrounded by animal noises, but there is something about concerts and blinding lights that makes me feel like it means something to be in that moment with other people experiencing the same thing. If you don't wake up with a headache, then how do you know you had fun?
